CB2 + SAIC: THE Coin slip
A modern reinterpretation of the classic piggy bank, the coin slip gives users a place to empty their pockets after a busy day. Despite our best efforts, loose change always seems to accumulate into an inconvenient eyesore on the hallway table or atop the dresser. Instead of scattering those coins about the house, collect them in this "grown-up" piggy bank and save for a rainy day (or a laundry day).
The back and top slope towards a crescent-shaped opening to cleanly catch coins. To retrieve, simply tilt and shake, the sloped back will direct coins right into your hands.
Early forms played off common cliches about saving money. These ideas developed into a modern design focused on rethinking the piggy bank.

BUBBLe lamp
This project applies a popular grade school science experiment- pva school glue mixed with laundry detergent. Bubbles blown from the solution are popped to create a thin membrane that is than stretched over a balloon and left to dry. The balloon is removed before the material completely sets, resulting in the slumped forms of these lazy little creatures.
RXMade + SAIC: DustBowls
